Converted output keeps the decoded orientation when the local decoder exposes it, but not every Apple-specific variant carries portable orientation data in the same way.

Limits: up to 10 files, 12 MB each, 40 MB per batch, and about 24 MP per image.

Will every Apple HEIC file convert successfully?

No tool can guarantee that. Typical still photos usually work, but some edited Apple variants, Live Photos, image sequences, auxiliary depth images, or damaged files can fail in browser decoders. This page reports those failures per file instead of pretending every variant is supported.

Should I pick JPEG or PNG output?

Pick JPEG for smaller, widely compatible downloads and adjust the quality slider when file size matters. Pick PNG when you want lossless pixels, understanding that PNG files are often larger and do not use the JPEG quality setting.
